My Background
I grew up on a farm in Southeastern Minnesota.
We raised mostly cattle and rabbits, so I guess I learned a lot about
service and dedication from taking care of the animals. All 4 of my
grandparents immigrated to this country from Europe,
so when it came time to go to college the choice was made for me already. I
was going to go to St. Olaf College and be a nurse to fulfill the dreams of
many of my family members.
And guess what, I have been a Registered Nurse since 1978, with about 8
years in critical care, followed by 2 years teaching nursing, and then
working in an office/corporate environment away from direct patient care for
the next 17 or so years. Nursing is a very hard and demanding job and a lot
of nurses I know are the type who work hard and play hard too. I am no
exception.
But the greatest thing for me now is being my own boss! I left that
"pesky day job" in 2004 and haven't looked back since!
I also enjoy traveling, knitting, tatting, a casino now and again, going out
to eat and music. I live in the Great State of South Dakota now and I truly
love my life!
I joined this business because.....
People often ask me how and why I started
doing this and about the history of Passion Parties. With so much interest
about the original of the company, I thought it was appropriate to include
it here. Back in 1994 a popular toy party company closed its doors. Some
of you may even have been to one of the parties. I know I was.
I actually had one of
"those" parties myself. Little did I know, that planted the seeds
for the business I would start later.

The
distributors from that company were out in the cold and left
to find another company or move on to a new line of work.
One of the top distributors, CJ Haynes, my Passion Parties
"granny" and the person who actually got me
started in the business, went looking for a new company for
her team and she wanted to find the best company possible
for her group.
Having
been through one failed company, stability was one of the
main reasons that brought her to Xandria. The owners were
receptive to the idea of expanding their mail order company,
The Xandria Collection, (you have probably seen their ads in
many popular magazines). With 20+ years of a successful mail
order business, excellent products, and a philosophy that
focused on education it looked like they would make an
excellent home for a party company... They just didn't know
it yet!

I
got into this business in December 1998. I had been a
nurse since 1978 and working in an office environment
away from direct patient care since 1987. I figured I
had some training in sexuality, and parties looked
like fun. I really just wanted to have a party, but
there were no distributors at all in my area.So for
the cost of a kit (I got the big one and it was $450 -
size DOES matter!) I found myself in the Passion
business!
You
often hear people talk about home based direct sales
businesses and network marketing in the same sentence
as pyramid schemes and business scams. I have tried
many over the years. Some good, some bad. Some sounded
great but no one was interested. Some were just bogus.
I wondered if there was anything out there that would
really work. Well, now I am here to tell you this one
can, at least it has for me. And I did it part time
while I was still working a full time day job for 5
years.
Now
I am making more money than ever before in my life,
even after 25+ years of nursing. I've made so many
great friends, been on trips all over the world, I
have a Jeep Grand Cherokee paid for by my car bonus
and I have more fun than anyone should be allowed to!
I would love to tell you more, do a party for you, or
help you achieve the Ultimate Dream of being your own
boss while working when you want and where you want as
a Passion Consultant.
